Thank you to the team at GC for making our stay a relaxing and enjoyable one. We previously stayed here year after year but hadn't been back since Covid hit and the new owners are amazing - very attentive and friendly and we always felt they wanted us to enjoy our stay. Considering we were a group of 9 blokes coming down for our annual 3-night camping trip, we were nervous of how we would be received but we were welcomed with open arms. We are already booking in again - great location and great staff. Only issue is, we have to wait another 12 months!
Our favorite spot to camp. Been here many times and loving it. The staff is very nice.
Really enjoyed our two nights here. A hidden gem really. Bring your own drinking water and you’ll have a great time.
Pros. Friendly staff. Camp fires. Beautiful surrounds. Especially the enormous Strezlecki Gums.
Cons. Traffic noise on Main Neerim Road. Ancient (but clean) toilets.
Definitely recommend.
Disappointed that a site for $50 per night had no grey water connection or potable drinking water even though it is literally next door to the water treatment plant!
Amenities blocks very old and primitive
Honestly can't recommend Glen Cromie highly enough for families who want a chilled out weekend. Lovely to find somewhere that allows both dogs and fires, but still has amenities. Plus, the choice of 2 playgrounds and a big grassed area was perfect for Mr 2.
A couple of short walking tracks, and right next to the river.
Plus, the staff are absolutely lovely!
Stay over the weekend and what a find “a hidden 💎 gem” we stay in cabin N.2 which was extra large room super comfortable bed and great out look, great walking track along the tarago river. …
An incredibly lovely place, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The grounds are well maintained and so peaceful.
This is a very picturesque reserve - more like a caravan park than a reserve. The staff are lovely.
However, there is no drinking water, nor is there pre-notification of this. There is also no dump point and they obviously have trouble with people trying to dump in toilets going by the signage in the toilets.
The amenities are old but clean enough.
For a Council operated park the lack of drinking water and dump point is astounding, especially given the price. $50 for powered site, $42 for unpowered.
